German Verband Premium stallion (E H Michelangelo x Galante elite mare) 16.3 hh.
In the most recent (‘08) breeding value index for German Trakehner Verband sires of Official Studbook approved mares,Guy is #1 (over 50 daughters with high inspection marks) in the rankings of hundreds of German Trakehner sires, present and past, for siring mares with the best quality foundations.
And for overall quality (movement, conformation, general impression and all characteristics judged) Guy Laroche is 10th - among all German Trakehner stallions ever - for siring high quality approved mares. This puts Guy in a class with such well-known greats as Caprimond, Partout, Munchhausen, and many others. Furthermore, while you can hardly go wrong with outstanding legs, gaits and conformation, among sport horse owners in Germany,Guy is respected also as a sire of ATHLETIC competitors with very GOOD CHARACTER and trainability.
Guy Laroche is among the best proven sport horse sires of any breed standing at stud in North America. He was awarded the title of Premium Stallion at his inspection, placing third to his half brother Champion Kennedy and the Reserve , legendary, Sixtus.
Guy's sire E H Michelangelo, 2006 Stallion-of-the-year, and Guy’s brother, Kennedy, are in the top 10 of all time sires of studbook approved mares.
Comments from the German Stallion book: "Guy Laroche’s get are remarkably large framed, outgoing and agile. They are usually recognized as children of their father by their nobility, conformation and presence. Guy Laroche sires foals with excellent neck sets. Occasionally with straighter angles in the hind legs. Their movement is forward in noble self carriage, with good reach and regularity, almost always an improvement over their mothers’." Guy’s prepotency as an excellent sport horse sire is well established. Guy is a very good cross on mares that need either a refining influence or more substance for their offspring.
Guy Laroche’s dam, elite mare Galante V, had the States Premium and Verband Premium titles. Also, on his sire’s side, his grand dam (Miami) was an elite mare, States Premium and Verband Premium. Miami was also the dam of E H Monteverdi.
At his stallion test, Guy Laroche placed fourth among 22 stallions of different breeds. He was given 9’s for temperament, character and rideability. He got 8’s for dressage, free jumping, willingness to perform, walk and canter.
In his own show career, Guy won many young horse championships, materiale classes, jumping and dressage competitions. He was trained to FEI level dressage by Uwe Sauer.

It was a spectacular finish to his in-line career in which he was Grand Champion at most shows he attended as a 2 year-old and 3 year-old. Carbon Copy's owners are Trevor Kraus and his wife Marike Dussault. His dam is Image by Salut.
Guy is a good dad and would very much like to hear from his children and brag and show photos here.
