Superstitious

Extremely talented FEI dressage or eventer prospect. At 16.3hh and 5 years old, Superstitious is very elegant and correctly built. An exceptional elastic uphill mover, she uses her back and neck very well while keeping flexible through her joints. From the start she naturally held her head and neck steady under saddle and while being lunged. She is highly trainable and fun to ride. Able to pay close attention to her handler/rider, she wants to trust and be guided instead of dominated. Superstitious is quite sensitive to aids. In profile her topline and neck set are excellent. Her hindquarters are well muscled and hind legs are strong with good angles. In her pedigree you can see about 25% Thoroughbred for athletism, that is distilled through 3rd and 4th generations. She has Pasteur (TB) on both sides of her pedigree.

Her sire, Heling, was a top rated sire in Germany as judged by the high quality of his offspring. He has continued to sire outstanding trainable horses in North America.

Her dam, Sevilla is a full sister to Spinnaker (click for show record) that had a median score of 64.5% at Intermediare I winning the USDF vintage cup at 10 years old among his many awards and accomplishments.

Sevilla is also a ¾ sibling to Kostolany (click for more information), one of Germany’s outstanding sires and a Grand Prix dressage horse himself. Sevilla’s sire, Enrico Caruso, was the 2nd highest US sire of USDF Horse-of-the-Year award winners. He was one of the best sport horse sires in the US after producing many extremely good show horses, sires and top broodmares in Germany.

Sevilla’s first filly is Serralinde (click for show record). In her first year of showing she had a median score of 72% at 1st level and 70% at training level. The next year her median score at 2nd level was 66.8% and 62% at 3rd level. The next year, at 7 years old, she scored over 60% in her first two 4th level classes. The just for fun, Linda Strine entered Serralinde in some hunter shows and won several classes and championships. She says Serralinde is easy to train, a real natural!
